Personal use only. The online version of Gear Generator Lab is licensed only to natural persons for personal, non-business use. Companies, businesses, institutions and other organisations may not use the online version for commercial, professional, organisational or internal business purposes. For company or professional use, request a quotation for the separately licensed standalone version at geargeneratorlab@gmail.com.
1. Operator and contact
Gear Generator Lab is operated by András Bendefy, individual entrepreneur in Hungary. Contact: geargeneratorlab@gmail.com. Mandatory business-identification details are provided on issued invoices and in legally required business records.
2. The service
Gear Generator Lab provides engineering calculation, visualisation and file-export tools for gear geometry. Results are generated from the inputs supplied by the user. The service is an engineering aid and does not replace professional engineering review, manufacturing validation, safety analysis or compliance assessment.
3. Licence and permitted use
You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the online service in accordance with these Terms. The online service is for personal, non-business use only. You may use outputs created from your own inputs for your personal projects, subject to applicable law. You may not resell, sublicense, provide shared access to, reverse engineer, scrape, systematically copy or attempt to circumvent access controls of the service.
Commercial, professional, company, institutional or organisational use requires a separate standalone commercial licence. The standalone version and its licensing mechanism are separate from the online service.
4. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials confidential. Accounts are personal and may not be shared. Gear Generator Lab may limit an account to one active application session at a time. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate misuse or enforce these Terms.
5. Free and paid features
Some functions are free. Premium export access is sold as a one-time, time-limited access period (currently 1 day, 1 month or 1 year) and is not a recurring subscription. If Premium access is already active, an additional purchase extends the existing expiry date. The price and access period shown immediately before purchase apply to that transaction.
6. Immediate performance and withdrawal
Premium access is intended to become available immediately after successful payment confirmation. Before starting Checkout, consumers are asked separately to expressly request immediate performance during the statutory withdrawal period and to acknowledge the consequences for the right of withdrawal. Any mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
If the service is not supplied as agreed or is not in conformity with mandatory consumer-law requirements, statutory remedies may apply. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that applicable law does not permit a trader to exclude.
7. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Payment-card details are handled in Stripe's checkout environment and are not stored by Gear Generator Lab. Taxes and invoicing are handled according to the rules applicable to the transaction.
8. Engineering results and responsibility
You are responsible for checking input data and independently validating results before relying on them for design, manufacture, procurement, operation or safety-related decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gear Generator Lab is not responsible for losses caused by incorrect user inputs, use outside the documented purpose, or reliance on unverified engineering results. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.
9. Availability and changes
The service may be updated, corrected, temporarily interrupted or changed. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Material changes to these Terms will be identified by a new version/date and renewed acceptance may be requested where appropriate.
10. Intellectual property
The Gear Generator Lab software, interface, branding and underlying implementation are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right of use granted above, no ownership rights in the software are transferred to you.
11. Account deletion and termination
You may use the account-deletion function when no Premium export access is active. We may terminate or restrict access for material breach, fraud, unlawful use or attempts to compromise the service. Legally required transaction, accounting or compliance records may be retained notwithstanding account deletion.
12. Privacy
Personal-data processing is described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms are governed by Hungarian law, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections that apply under the law of the consumer's country of residence where such protections cannot be excluded by agreement. Consumers may contact the operator at the email address above with complaints or questions.
These Terms are intended to describe the current Gear Generator Lab service and do not constitute individual legal advice.
